Privacy

This page says what NPhours collects, why, who sees it, and how to have it removed. It is written to be read, not filed. Last updated 2026-09-09.

What you give us

The application and the contact forms ask for your name, email, phone, the state you practice in, your credential, the population you would precept, your preferred mode and hours, and anything you type in the message box. If you join the roster you also upload a CV, a copy of your license, a copy of your certification and a description of your practice. Programs that request preceptors give us a contact name, an institutional email and the tracks and states they place.

Why we collect it

To decide whether a program will accept you, to match you to students whose rotations fit your state, credential and hours, to draft agreements, to pay you, and to issue the tax form the law requires. We do not sell or rent any of it, and we do not use it to advertise to you elsewhere.

Who sees it

Coordinators at NPhours. The clinical placement office of a program, but only after you accept one of its students, and only the documents that program's handbook requires. The payments provider that moves the deposits, which receives your name, bank details and the amount. The IRS, on a 1099-NEC, when the year's total reaches $600. Nobody else without your written instruction or a legal order.

The live chat and the visitor id

The chat panel on each page stores a random visitor identifier in your browser's local storage so that a conversation can continue across pages. It holds no personal information itself. Messages you type in the chat are read by coordinators and kept with your record if you later apply. Clear your browser's site data to remove the identifier.

Cookies and analytics

NPhours sets no advertising cookies. Fonts are loaded from Google Fonts, which receives your browser's request for the font files. If web analytics are added they will be configured without personal identifiers and this page will say so.

Keeping and removing your record

Applications that do not proceed are deleted after twelve months. Roster records are kept while you are on the roster and for the period tax law requires afterward, currently seven years for payment records. Email privacy@nphours.com from the address on your record to see, correct or delete what we hold, and expect a reply within ten business days. Some payment and tax records cannot be deleted before their statutory period ends; we will tell you which.

Students and patients

NPhours never receives patient information. Students' details reach us from their programs and are shared with a preceptor only after that preceptor accepts the rotation.

Changes

If this page changes in a way that affects what we collect or who sees it, roster preceptors are emailed before the change takes effect.
